stienbeck presents crooks as a character who is wary of beness exploited and who demands his remunerates and silence. crooks drew prickle into himself. Stienbeck portrays crooks as someone who agnises his limit. This is beacuse Crooks shows evidence to be cunning and intelligent thought difficult situations.
